If Israel’s actions do not meet the definition of genocide, then what would?
In other words, what would Israel have to do, that it has not already done, in order to meet the definition?
What would they have to do to change your mind?
The answer, of course – the true answer – is nothing. There is nothing Israel can do that would be genocidal. Because Israel is good by definition, and the goodguys are always justified in whatever they do, because they’re always doing it for good purposes. Because they’re the goodguys.
And genocide is bad.
And therefore, the goodguys are by definition not doing it.
No matter what they do.

If Israel gives “evacuation warnings” to Palestinians before bombing their houses, apartment buildings, hospitals, and schools – so that the civilians can flee before the bombing – why don’t the Hamases also flee?
Are you telling me the civilians flee, but the Hamases just sit there, waiting to be bombed?
And if the Hamases DO flee… what’s the point of bombing the building?

The true answer, of course, is that the point in bombing the building is to render the landscape uninhabitable – unable to support human life – so that the whole population of Gaza will leave, and the land will be empty…
…and then Israel can annex it, and zionist settlers can move in and make it Jewish.

How come when a bomb shelter is Muslim, it’s a “terror tunnel”, but when a terror tunnel is Jewish, it’s a bomb shelter?

Given that the central command of the IDF lies in a tunnel network underneath Tel Aviv’s central business district, why isn’t everyone in downtown Tel Aviv a “human shield?” Why isn’t the area a legitimate military target for things that go boom?

Are you telling me that from 10,000 BCE until 2023 CE, humans needed buildings in order to survive, but then in 2023 that suddenly changed, and humans no longer need buildings – and can not only survive and thrive, but multiply, with no buildings?
What caused this metaphysical change in the nature of biology and physics?

The true answer is, of course, that nothing changed, and humans still need buildings, and without buildings humans still die, and the population of Gaza has not increased. It has decreased. Drastically.
Trump says there are 1.7 or 1.8 million people left – starting from a 2023 population of 2.2 million. Do the math.
If Trump’s figure there is wildly inaccurate, then is he a liar or is he merely incompetent?
And why did Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of Israel, sit there and let him blood-libel the Jews like that, while sitting right next to him?
If it was too awkward to bring up in the moment, why didn’t Netanyahu mention it in a press conference later, or put out some kind of corrective statement through his office?

The true answer is that Trump is telling the truth.
And it’s been shocking to watch his own supporters claim that their beloved leader is now incompetent – throwing him under the bus, on behalf of a foreign country.

If Islam exterminates all Jews once it takes power over an area, why did Jewish communities continue to exist in every Islamic country, from conquest in the 8th Century until the 1950’s?
Islam had 1100 years to exterminate us – so why didn’t it?
And if Islam doesn’t do that, then why do you assume that Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran/etc. want to do that?
And if you’re super duper mega ultra certain they do want to do that… then… how are they Islamic?

If Palestine firing rockets at Israeli houses justifies Israel bombing Palestinian houses, then why doesn’t Israel bombing Palestinian houses justify Palestine firing rockets at Israeli houses?
The damage isn’t even equal – in fact it’s hundreds if not thousands of times greater in one direction – because the “rockets” fired from Gaza are little more than glorified firecrackers – and the damage they do is usually along the lines of damaging the paint on the outsides of homes. Very rarely do they result in human injuries, and even more rarely in fatalities.
Meanwhile, Israel’s bombs weigh hundreds of pounds, sometimes thousands, and turn entire apartment buildings – sometimes whole city blocks – into craters.
If damaging paint on the outside of a Jewish house justifies the complete destruction of an entire apartment building in Gaza, then why doesn’t the complete destruction of an entire apartment building in Gaza justify damaging the paint on the ouside of a Jewish house?

The true answer is that our leaders, and many of us, don’t view Gentiles as human.
If killing a few dozen of **our people** justifies killing **tens of thousands** of theirs, then why doesn’t killing tens of thousands of theirs justify killing millions of ours?
If it’s proportional to respond to violence with 3 orders of magnitude more violence… then… why isn’t it proportional… to respond to violence… with 3 orders of magnitude more violence?
Why is it only justified in one direction, but not the other direction?
Are our people’s lives inherently and objectively and legally a thousand times more valuable than theirs?

The true answer is that most of us think our people’s lives really are objectively more valuable than others’ lives, because we’re special.

The true answer is that the “new standard” doesn’t apply to all nations – only to Israel. Other nations still have rules to follow, but Israel doesn’t. We’re supposed to let Israel get away with whatever it wants – because it’s Israel.

The true answers to all of these questions is the same:
-We are special
-We got oppressed before, by pogroms and the Holocaust and October 7th
-Therefore we are the world’s consummate victims
-No matter what the conflict is, we are always the victims, by definition
-The victims can do whatever they want, and still be right
-The victims don’t have to follow any rules
-We are special.
That’s the real answer to all of this.
And the world can see. They see what we’re doing. And they don’t buy this stupidity and murderous arrogance for even a second.
The USA might be under our spell… and so might Western Europe, to a lesser degree… but the rest of the world is not. And the former are a crumbling empire, while the latter are the rising powers.
Folks, 20 million of us can’t fight 9 billion of them. And so we better abandon our delusions, now, while we still can – and start showing them that we are in fact human.
While we still can.
